The Doctor is in! …other areas of the country. Pepsi has released a new soda to select markets called DOC 360 and Diet DOC 360 with the slogan “Your tastebuds will flip”.
I haven’t been able to find it nearby but I also have to stock up on Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback when I’m visiting elsewhere.
So without firsthand experience, a friend tells me DOC 360 is comparable to Dr Pepper or like a Pepsi and Dr Pepper mix. A person on Twitter, says it’s like a Vanilla Dr Pepper. Another tweet exclaims “At the gas station on the way home, I saw “Doc 360” on sale cheap. The diet version is even better than Diet Dr Pepper, somehow.”
So what do we know about DOC360?
It has a website at www.drinkdoc360.com. There’s not a whole lot of information to find there.

Wis-Pak, Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of Pepsi-Cola and other leading soft drinks. Is Doc 360 the product of just a local Pepsi bottler? The domain has been registered since April.
Mid-Wisconsin Beverage, Inc. blogged about DOC 360 on its site on August 15th. It had this little press release to promote the new drink:
Some soft-drinks leave you feeling like a 180: Been There….Done That! But DOC 360 is a complete flip for your taste-buds. Beyond expectation, DOC 360 delivers an unexpected array of flavors that refreshes and keeps you wanting more. Beyond hype, DOC 360 delivers an unforgettable taste experience.
We all have our favorite soft-drink; and that’s cool; but every once in a while it’s nice to throw a change-up into your life; call an audible; spice things up a bit, pepper your taste-buds, so to speak and surprise the mundane. Hey, it’s your life; drink something that moves you! Try DOC 360. It just might turn out to be your new favorite soft-drink! AVAILABLE TODAY!
So far we have two Wisconsin-based beverage companies confirming DOC 360. The third source to confirm Doc 360 comes from LINPEPCO, a Nebraska and Kansas-based distributor. The fourth and final source that I’ve been able to find is Pepsi-Cola Memphis Bottling Co. Inc. with this quick description of the drink:
DOC 360 & Diet DOC 360 DOC 360 is a complete flip for your taste-buds. Beyond expectation, DOC 360 delivers an unexpected array of flavors that refreshes and keeps you engaged. Finally, I seemed to stumble upon further information by looking on Facebook. DOC 360 on Facebook seems to have two contests running: 1) If you like the page between September 26th and September 30th, you’re entered to win a $500 Visa gift card and 2) if you submit a picture of you with a Doc 360 to their Facebook page before October 1st, the picture with the most likes will win a $200 Visa gift card.
WANT AN EXTRA $200! Post a picture of you with your DOC 360 on the DOC 360 facebook page. The picture with the most like by 8am October first takes home a $200 VISA gift card! Ties will be decided by creativity! Have fun!
The Facebook page describes Doc 360 as “An extreme pepper with refreshing bit, that liquidates thirst and obliterates ordinary.” and Diet Doc 360 as “Full tilt flavor that peppers your tastebuds while keeping you in those skinny jeans.”
Meanwhile, Pepsi might want to look into this little problem… Doc360HAHA is a DeviantART user that seems to have a penchant for drawing animals being restrained and having their feet tickled.
Update
While visiting the Rockford, IL area in May 2012, I finally got to taste DOC 360 as a fountain drink. I wouldn’t consider myself a fan. Four of us at the table tried it but most of us switched to other drinks with our next refill. Impressions varied considerably. One person said it tasted like cough syrup and another like diet Pepsi. My opinion was that it tasted like a combination of Dr. Pepper and tea. I would like to try it again with less ice and probably from a bottle but I would likely take most other pops over it.

i found DOC 360 at the Curtiss Truck Stop (Abbyland) on Hwy 29. read label. double-caffeine — just what the Doc tor ordered as it was late at night and i needed to drive more. i took it as the Dr Pepper flavored version of Pepsi Maxx, also giving choice of regular sweet vs Aspartame Diet version. of the two poisons.
of the two poisons, i see Aspartame (and its related substitutes) as worse than high-fructose corn syrup. always prefer pure sugar (retro) flavors or bettey, yet, have a Diet Stevia version.
anyway. please stock DOC 360 in more stores, pronto! i hate drving to Abbyland to get my fix.

Discovered Doc 360 in my local neighborhood corner store, Campus Walk (Tallahassee, FL >> SEMINOLE FOOTBALL!). At first I thought Dr. Pepper had just re-branded themselves as this bottle is definitely trendy looking and to me it tastes very similar to Dr. Pepper. Looked it up online, couldn’t find much info. And kb’s post above is correct, it does have almost double the caffeine of an equally sized CocaCola Classic. I’m sold.
Bought a fountain pop at Valentinos Pizza in a small town called York, Nebraska. I thought it was a spin off of Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pib so didn’t think much about it until I started drinking it. Pretty good stuff. At first it tasted like a 2 liter of Mr. Pib that has been in the fridge for a few days, flat but after more I am finding that it tastes pretty good. I found this page while trying to find out more about it. I would love to try the diet version.
My girlfriend took the last mt.dew to work with her, and to avoid the dreaded caffeine migraine headache, I grabbed a doc as a last resort. I had a case in my garage for about a month that I bought on sale with no desire to try. Come to find out, I was blown away to find the taste very sastifying and the kicker…MORE CAFFEINE THAN MT.DEW!!!
Found it in Janestown, WI. Thought it was another variant of Diet Dr Pepper like the “10″ is. I was wrong. The stuff was great, even the diet version. I pray this gets released regionally or nationally. Hey, Pepsi, you’ve got a winner on your hands so push it into the overall marketplace. I want it in SE Michigan!
I found 360 in vending machine at Doctors office in Springfield, IL. Left with 6 bottles after drinking a bottle. Will start checking the stores. I want more 360. For me it tastes like a cross between Pepsi & Dr.Pepper. I love it.
I LOVE THIS DRINK ITS MY NEW FAVORITE …. THIS IS BEST I COULD REMEMBER WHEN THE CLEAR PEPSI CAME OUT IT WAS MY FAVORITE SOME SIM MI YEARS AGO LOL BUT YEAH LET THIS DRINK STAY. IM SOLD!!!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT….. Psacagoula , Ms
pascagoula, ms down south !!!!!!!
wE HAD IT A BROWNS STORE IN SUTTON NEBRASKA BUT NOW i ONLY FIND DIET doC. I run a business and have a customer that loves DOC so i need to find it. Where are the stores with it?
Tried this because of the huge display of it at Walmart (N. IL). Thought it might be a cheap knock off of Dr. Pepper or Mr.Pibb. When I tasted, I was right on. Only difference is that it didn’t taste cheap. Great taste, and 60mg caffeine per 12oz vs reg Pepsi at 38mg. Will definitely buy again.
Like so many of the other comments, I also thought this was another variant of Dr. Pepper so I decided to give it a try and I found it to be almost exactly like Dr. Pepper but with a little more kick. Please continue to make this soda!!
PS: Found it in my local Jewel-Osco in Northern IL
I came across Doc360 in a gas station near Tomahawk WI. I was thirsty but soda bottles were $2.09 a 12 pack of Doc360 was $2.99. So my choice was 20oz. for 2.09 or 144oz for 2.99. I decided to give this a shot, not knowing what it was or anything about it. Like others, I assumed it was Dr. Pepper re-branding itself or a generic brand similar to it. The flavor is just like Dr. Pepper, maybe slightly less bite/carbonation though. A blind taste test would probably be hard to tell the two apart. I would grab the Doc360 over Dr Pepper based on price tag alone. The flavor is very similar.
I would have to say it tastes similar to Mr. Pibb Xtra. I find the taste is pleasing. It’s not for everyone, but that’s why beverage companies don’t make just Pepsi and Coke. Now we have thousands of flavors to choose from. Some stay, some don’t. However, this is one I wouldn’t mind sticking around. Then again I also liked Pepsi Blue and was sad to see it discontinued.
